North Carolina Notary Seals and Embossers

A notary shall affix the notary’s official seal near the notary’s official signature. The seal may be either circular or rectangular in shape and must include the following: the notary’s name exactly as commissioned; the words “Notary Public”; the county of commission including the word “County” or “Co.”; and the words “North Carolina” or the abbreviation “N.C.”.
